Owens meats was founded in Cle Elum in 1887 by Morgan Owens. It is now run by his Great grandsons Ray, Don, and Doug Owens, and was passed down by their father and his father before him.

We offer a full line of retail meats that are aged to perfection at a reasonable price. We have the finest smokehouse in the whole state of Washington, where we make dozens of smoked sausages and beef jerky and landjaeger.
We have homemade hams and belly, shoulder, and back bacon. We also cut and wrap custom livestock and all types of game animals. We love our customers and it shows with our service, so come on in and see us.
We are more than happy to provide you with a free sample of any of our fully cooked meats. We’ll see you at the market.

Ohhhhhhh Owens. We’ve been coming here for years, always stopping by when we head to the east side from Seattle. This is the best beef jerky and pepperoni I have ever had, period. The jerky is more like steak, you can hardly see the resemblance to the crap in the bag they sell at the grocery stores…
The steaks are great, try their tri-tip marinating, a few min on the grill and you’re in heaven. The sausage is solid, though not as earth shattering as their bacon! The bacon is to die for, and they’ll cut it as thick as you want it!!!
It’s a locally owned family business who is doing what they do, and doing it better than anyone else I’ve ever found. The guys there are really nice, will offer to season the steak, wrap it any way you want. Being picky about exactly which steak or fillet you want is expected! Stop here!!! It’s worth every penny you can find to spend.
